At Topline Murtaghs, we’re here for all your DIY, home improvement, garden, paint and fuel needs, with stores located in Dublin and Meath. Murtaghs.ie gives customers across Ireland access to over 5,000 products available for nationwide delivery or Click & Collect.

Our mission is to support customers with every stage of their home improvement and DIY projects. From fixing a leaky tap and restoring decking to building fences and upgrading outdoor spaces, our experienced team is always here to help and happy to advise on the right products for the job.

Stephen Murtagh & Sons began trading in Dublin in the late 1800s as corn and grain merchants. The business later moved to Blackhall Place before expanding to Ashbourne, Co. Meath in 1957, where the hardware and builders merchants business continued to grow.

Today, we operate two stores: Topline Murtaghs Ashbourne in Co. Meath and Topline Murtaghs Sandymount in Dublin, serving DIY customers, homeowners, tradespeople and local businesses.

In 2021, we opened a dedicated Trade Centre behind our Ashbourne store to better serve builders, contractors and trade customers with professional building materials, tools and supplies.

Topline Murtaghs remains a proudly family-owned Irish business and is now led by Colin Murtagh, representing the fourth generation of the family. Ella and Patrick are the fifth generation to be involved in the business, continuing a tradition of customer service and community support that has been part of Murtaghs for more than 138 years.

Our Local Community

Supporting our local community has always been an important part of who we are at Topline Murtaghs. Over the years, we have raised thousands of euros for local charities, schools, sports clubs and community groups through initiatives including our FAB Friday sale events, which ran until the end of 2024.

Today, we continue to support local organisations and worthwhile causes through our Charity Partners programme, helping community groups across Dublin and Meath raise much-needed funds and awareness.

Doing Our Bit

We are committed to reducing waste and making more environmentally conscious choices across our business. Wherever possible, we reuse and recycle packaging materials for online orders to help minimise waste and reduce our environmental impact.
