Please read these terms and conditions carefully, as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law. Your use of the Company Site confirms your unconditional acceptance of the terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use the Company Site. Topline Murtaghs may revise these terms and conditions by updating this post/section. Any changes to these terms and conditions come into effect once this post/section is updated. We reserve the right to change or modify these terms and conditions at any time so you should visit this page periodically for updates as these are binding and we have no obligation to notify you of changes to the Company site.
Your use of the Company site
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that our product names, prices, images and descriptions on the website are correct at the time when the relevant product or information was entered onto the website. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the appearances, colours and finishes of our products that appear on the website. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the product images are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise because of differences in monitor and mobile phone displays.
The information, content, images, video, trade names and logos (the “Materials”) contained in this website are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws under national law. You acknowledge and agree that the material and content contained within this website is made available for your personal, non-commercial use only and that you may only download such material and content for the purpose of using this website.
Payment Policy
Credit Card payments are processed and stored by pages that are not controlled by us. We accept most credit and debit cards and payments on our Site are made via Opayo (Elavon) Merchant Services which provide secure, speedy credit card payments.
Price of Goods
Prices are displayed in Euro, are inclusive of VAT, valid in the Republic of Ireland and don’t include delivery charges.
While we do our best to ensure that prices on the website are correct, errors can occur. If we discover a price error on products that you have ordered:
- We will inform you as soon as possible about the price error with the correct price.
- We will then give you the option to confirm your order at that price or cancel your order with a refund.
- The prices on the Website include VAT but exclude delivery costs. If there are any delivery costs, they will be added during checkout. You can read about our delivery costs in our "Delivery Charges” below.
Out of Stocks
In the unlikely event that an item you have ordered is out of stock, we will contact you and offer an alternative if available or a refund.
How Do I return my item?
Returning Items In Store
If for any reason you choose to return an item, you can do so at either of our two stores:
- Murtaghs Hardware, 91 Sandymount Road, Sandymount, Dublin 4 D04 C3H1
- Topline Murtaghs, Main Street, Ashbourne, Co. Meath A84 DA06
If returning an item to a store, to get a full refund, please ensure that you have your order receipt with you. Credit card refunds are processed through our website and will take 5-7 working days to appear on your credit card statement.
Returning Items By Post/Courier
Alternatively, returns can also be sent by post/courier to Topline Murtaghs, Main Street, Ashbourne, Co. Meath A84 DA06. Tel: 01-8350106. Please contact us at orders@murtaghs.ie or complete the return form by clicking on the green "Start Return/Cancellation/withdrawal" button at the top of this page, to let us know you are returning your order.
Cost of returning you order:
The cost for returning an item will depend of the size and weight of the product:

*Local area delivery is within the following Eircodes in Meath and Dublin 4: A84, A85, D04, A42 & A45
Large Items include items such as Storage Boxes, smaller BBQs, Balcony sets etc.
Heavy Items include items such as bags of coal, stone, salt, sand etc. Bagged Items 20kg and more.
Pallet Delivery is for heavy products, over 30kg such as BBQs, smaller Garden Furniture, fencing etc.
Multiple Pallet Delivery is for extra large garden furbuture sets that are delivered over multiple pallets.
If you would like us to organise a courier to return your items, a member of our team will be happy to organise this for you. However, there will be an additional charge for this.
NB: Your Right To Cancel & Return Your Order
If you purchase goods online, you may have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation. See withdrawal button above.
If you exercise your right to cancel, you must return the goods to us without undue delay.
Customers are entitled to inspect goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, as they would be able to do in a retail store. However, if goods are handled beyond what is reasonably necessary for such inspection and this results in a reduction in the value of the goods, we reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction from any refund to reflect that loss in value.
To qualify for a full refund, goods should be returned complete, undamaged and, where reasonably possible, in their original packaging.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
Faulty Goods
Where goods are faulty, not as described, not fit for purpose or otherwise fail to conform to the contract, consumers may be entitled to remedies including repair, replacement, price reduction or refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.

Damages
Please make sure that all deliveries are checked for damages before signing for them.
In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged, we will be happy to offer a refund or exchange where appropriate for the product value.
In most circumstances, we may need to get the product back and will organise our courier partners to collect damaged items.
For faulty items within warranty and with a receipt, then you may be entitled to a repair. If it cannot be repaired a replacement/refund may be offered. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Order Display & Delivery
Orders received will be processed within 1-2 working days. Orders placed on Saturday/Sunday will be processed on the Monday.
Delivery can then take up to 5 working days, depending on location.
