Stephen Murtagh & Sons started trading in Middle Abbey Street in the late 1800’s as a corn and grain merchants. We later moved to Blackhall Place, Dublin before expanding to Ashbourne, Co. Meath in 1957 where we developed our hardware business.

We now operate two stores, Topline Murtaghs Ashbourne in Meath, and Topline Murtaghs Sandymount in Dublin.

In 2021, we opened a new Trade Centre behind our Ashbourne store to serve our building and trade customers.

Today, Topline Murtaghs is still family owned and is now headed by Colin Murtagh who represents the fourth generation to lead the business. Ella and Patrick are the 5th generation to be involved in the business.
