Product Description

The "4/65 watt" specification indicates that the starter is designed to be used with fluorescent lamps rated between 4 and 65 watts. A pack of 2 starters is typically used for residential or commercial lighting applications where fluorescent lamps are used. The starter is a small, cylindrical device that plugs into a socket in the lighting fixture and is used to initiate the flow of electrical current through the lamp. When the lamp is turned on, the starter heats up and activates a switch that allows the current to flow through the lamp's electrodes, ionizing the gas inside the lamp and producing light. Starters are typically designed to last for several thousand lamp start cycles, and should be replaced if the lamp fails to start or flickers when turned on.

Orders under €65 can take 2/3 working days and a charge of €9.99
Bulk Delivery Charges
We have a delivery charge for large or heavy products that require special handling by our couriers. These are for products with larger dimensions (e.g. garden furniture) or orders that are over 20kg in weight (coals, salt). A bulk delivery charge details will appear in your basket when checking out. Bulky deliveries will take 3-5 working days.
Important: We have a Local Bulk Delivery Charge and a "Rest of Ireland" bulk delivery charge. Please select the correct delivery charge for your location. We reserve the right to contact a customer for an additional payment if the incorrect delivery charge is chosen at Checkout. 

Some extra large/heavy products are marked as local products for local delivery in Meath and Dublin only.  

Returns Policy

If for any reason you choose to return an item, you can do so at either of our stores (Sandymount, Dublin 4 or Ashbourne, Co. Meath). All returned items must be returned in its original condition, within 60 days of purchase and with a valid receipt or order confirmation.
